Keri & Eric are my first wedding of 2013. We had such a blast in spite of the rain. They had planned to get married out on the ice and they went through with it 🙂 It was a great day and a lot of fun was had by all.
The entire wedding party had winter camo worked into their outfits. The men had vests, ties and pocket squares, the ladies had it trimmed on their gorgeous black dresses and the bride had the most of all. It looked gorgeous with her white gown.
We started the day relaxing at the brides parents house. THANKS FOR THE PIZZA MOM! Keri had a fabulous hairdresser and makeup artist. After getting ready we did a first look which always brings a few smiles and tears.
We headed to the lakefront cabin to capture all of the formal shots. The girls were prepared with their warm winter boots under their dresses. I was not AS prepared and had some chilly toes by the end of the ceremony. Rick one of my lead photographers braved the rain and cold to get ceremony shots from outside the tent.
If you look closely you can see the rain in the formal shots of the bride and groom. Thanks guys for toughing it out I think the images are well worth the slight chill!
Then we headed to the reception. We cut the cake, had some speeches and then headed to the dance floor. I love capturing the parents and grandparents expressions during the speeches. I think Rick may have caught Dad wiping a tear.
Thanks for sharing your awesome day with me!
