Ashley & Richard :: Wedding Photographer :: Shell Lake WI

You may note that this blogs tone is slightly different than you are accustomed to, that’s because this is Rick writing the post for the wedding I shot with this fun couple. The day started out with a promise of rain as I arrived at the local Shell Lake Methodist church, camera in hand and ready for a fun filled day. I can recall Ashley being disappointed at the rain and resigning herself to just interior shots for the wedding party. Luckily time proved that fate is forgiving on a wedding day, as it cleared up just enough for us to get some fun and beautiful shots outside at the old Shell Lake high school. When I first arrived the brides party was doing a good job patrolling the halls of the church, ensuring the groom didn’t sneak a peak at his bride prematurely. I had to torture the poor fellow by taking him outside and doing an around the corner shot of him and his lovely bride touching hands without actually seeing each other. The brides uncle did a wonderful job of performing the ceremony and it all rolled along without a hitch.

The wedding and preparation were great, but for me the most fun in the day were the romantic and fun shots taken after the ceremony! This group was all in favor of having some fun and doing some goofy poses to remember forever. I am extremely grateful to have been allowed to be part of their special day.
